Sudan is located in north-eastern Africa, bordering the Red Sea, between Egypt and Eritrea. Its terrain is generally flat, featureless plain, desert dominates the north. The climate is hot and dry, arid desert, rainy season varies by region (April to November). In area, the country is slightly less than one-fifth the size of the US.
