Libya is located in Northern Africa, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, between Egypt, Tunisia, and Algeria. Its terrain is mostly barren, flat to undulating plains, plateaus, depressions. The climate is Mediterranean along coast, dry, extreme desert interior. In area, the country is about 2.5 times the size of Texas, slightly larger than Alaska.
