Belarus is located in Eastern Europe, east of Poland. Its terrain is generally flat with much marshland. The climate is cold winters, cool and moist summers, transitional between continental and maritime. In area, the country is slightly less than twice the size of Kentucky, slightly smaller than Kansas.
