Solomon Islands is located in Oceania, group of islands in the South Pacific Ocean, east of Papua New Guinea. Its terrain is mostly rugged mountains with some low coral atolls. The climate is tropical monsoon, few temperature and weather extremes. In area, the country is slightly smaller than Maryland.
