Mongolia is located in Northern Asia, between China and Russia. Its terrain is vast semidesert and desert plains, grassy steppe, mountains in west and southwest, Gobi Desert in south-central. The climate is desert, continental (large daily and seasonal temperature ranges). In area, the country is slightly smaller than Alaska, more than twice the size of Texas.
