Chile is located in Southern South America, bordering the South Pacific Ocean, between Argentina and Peru. Its terrain is low coastal mountains, fertile central valley, rugged Andes in east. The climate is temperate, desert in north, Mediterranean in central region, cool and damp in south. In area, the country is slightly smaller than twice the size of Montana.

Notable exports include copper ore, refined copper, fish, carbonates, pitted fruits (2023).
